A silicone gasket O Ring Seal is a sealing ring made of silicone material used to create an airtight seal between the lid and pot of a pressure cooker. The gasket sits around the circumference of the lid and creates an airtight seal when pressed against the pan during cooking. 12.Make sure the pressure cooker lid is completely closed and locked before operation. The lid clicks when locked in place. Only when the cooker is properly closed will the pressure inside the cooker begin to rise, causing the locking pin to rise to its position on the lid. Do not force the lid off once cooking and pressure has formed.

If this happens, you should replace the gasket to ensure proper cooking and pressure levels. To replace the silicone gasket, you first need to remove the old ring from the cap. After removing the old ring, clean the cover and gasket slot thoroughly to make sure no debris or residue is left. Next, place a new silicone gasket around the circumference of the lid in the gasket groove. Make sure it lays flat with no gaps or overlaps. Finally, put the lid back on the pot and secure it in place.
