Production Process of Cookware handles

Production process: Raw material - Preparation- Molding- Demolding- Trimming- packing.

Raw Material:The material is Phenolic resin. It Is a synthetic plastic, colorless or yellow brown transparent solid, because it is used more frequently on electrical equipment, also commonly known as Bakelite.

Preparation: Bakelite is a thermo setting plastic formed from phenol and formaldehyde. Phenol is mixed with catalysts such as formaldehyde and hydrochloride acid to form a liquid mixture.

Molding: Pour the Bakelite mixture into a mold in the shape of a kitchen handle. The mold is then heated and pressurized to cure the Bakelite mixture and form the handle.

Demoulding: Remove the cured Bakelite handle from the mold.

Trimming: trim off excess material, the handle usually with mat sanded look. No need other work on the surface.

Packing: Our handles of each layer are arranged neatly one by one. No scratches and no breaks.

Test of handles

Cookware is a necessity in our daily life. With the development of science and technology and the progress of human beings, people have higher and higher requirements for the use of cookware.The Bakelite pan handle is one of the most important parts of cooker. The durability of the handle directly affects the service life of cooker and the safety factor of the process of using cooker or cooker.

Bakelite long handle bending testing machine is to test the limit force of the pot handle by applying force to the pot handle. Most of the testing companies, such as SGS, TUV Rein, Intertek, they can test the long handle of the cooker. Now around the world, how do you verify that bakelite stems meet safety standards, that they meet industry standards? There is an answer. Most people should know EN-12983, which is a cookware standard developed and published by the European Union, including cookware handles. Here are some steps to test pot&pan handles.

Test Methods: The handle fixing system should be able to withstand the bending force of 100N, and can not make the fixing system (rivets, welding, etc.) fail. Usually we load about 10kg weight at the end of the handle, keep it for about half an hour, and observe whether the handle will bend or break.

Standard: If the handle is only bent, rather than broken, it is passed. If broken, it's a failure.

We can ensure that our cookware handles pass the test and follow the test standards.
